How did you hear about Subism?

I was contacted by Subism at the end of my art & design college course. After a few years of keeping in touch while I was studying at university, in my final year I was invited in for a two week placement and since then I have been taken on as a full time designer, straight out of university!

What made you want to work with us?

First of all I really enjoy working with the team, getting on with people around you I feel is the most important thing, especially in a creative environment. Bouncing off each other, throwing ideas around and getting excited is something I love and will never get bored of.

Secondly I really enjoyed the diversity of projects, from web, illustration and branding. I thought this would be a good opportunity to build up my skill set and delve into multiple projects and learn as much as I can. Exactly what I wanted coming out of uni to keep me on my toes.

What did you work on during your first time here?

I was thrown into a new branding project for an up and coming app. Researching, mood boarding and experimenting with ideas to a short deadline was fun and engaging!

What did you learn?

To be confident in your ideas and not be too precious about them. Just throw everything out there and see what comes of it, you never know.

What is it like in the studio?

Great atmosphere in the building, with a friendly bunch of businesses ranging from copywriting, design and marketing. Having all these assets in the same building is so helpful, a real creative buzz about the place to.
