SubismCreate took on a job to produce a feature graffiti wall in the new Chilango Mexican kitchen on Chancery Lane in London. Artists Rootz and S.A.B went and produced the wall back in April this year.
The Chancery Lane site was 1 of 6 restaurants shortlisted in world & only from UK at Inside Design Festival! Big thanks to ‘i-am’ Associates for getting us involved.
Please vote for Chilango Chancery Lane in the People’s Choice Award 2011! Lets get up that ranking!

Rootz’s new artwork series ‘Loosen the Fears that Bind You’ has been used as a set of surfboard graphics for Australian company Inlayz. The company supply these structural graphics layers to surfboard manufacturers around the world so keep your eyes peeled for some rootz graphics in surf shops and magazines!
Rootz has been busy illustrating over the past month with 4 new pieces available now from the Subism shop. The artwork has also been used for some surfboard graphics for Australian company Inlayz. We’ll post up these as soon as we get hold of them. The pieces entitled ‘Loosen the Fears that Bind You’ (inspired by Ben Howard’s lyrics in his song Cloud Nine) are all about letting go of your preconceptions and trying to shake those inhibitions and worries that influence the way you think and act.
All the prints are A1 high quality giclee prints, limited edition to 10 each, signed, numbered and come with a certificate of authenticity. We’re also doing a special price for anyone who buys a pair of them, head to the shop section for more info!
Here’s a little time lapse from the weekend, where rootz, B.O.T.C and G87 paint a spot near Birmingham. They only stayed for a couple of hours hence the short footage but rootz and B.O.T.C went back the next day to add some colour and a couple more bits which you can see from the photos. They’re going to finish this wall then paint the even bigger bank behind it with a couple more of the Subism team. Many thanks to Mode Photo for the timelapse.

Last month rootz designed a new logo for The Bowery to paint on the wall of the venue. Rootz projected the image of the logo to make sure it was reproduced as flawlessly as possible, plus it also made the job of standing 15 foot above the ground on a scaffold tower a little less daunting. Many thanks to Mode Photo who went along to capture it and produce the time lapse. We’ll post up some finished photos of the piece later.

Your artist proof of Jagerhosen will be on it’s way to you soon! Thanks for all those that entered, keep your eyes peeled for more Subism competitions coming your way!
